These are the commitments the rest of the site is held to. Where the site falls short of them, that is a defect to correct, and we keep the correction visible.
Architecture: the Jester’s chair
Jester is not a public tool. It is a governance-only state of Grace that can be called in only by an authorized governing body, by the deliberate act of turning the table. In that state Grace challenges a proposal through seven lenses: invert, interest, burden, power, absence, time, spirit.
Jester never votes, never authorizes and never executes. Its challenges are kept as a separate adversarial record. Then Grace returns and neutrally summarizes what survived the challenge. People, acting through their authorized governance, decide.

Said is not suggested, and suggested is not adopted. Person is not office, and office is not power. Unknown is a valid state. Route the act, not the whole transaction. Consent is an event, not a blanket document.
